Concrete Imaging Locates Post Tension Cables at Rebar Prior to Core-Drilling at Casino - Tulsa, Oklahoma

When a general contractor needed to core-drill through the 14 inch elevated concrete slab to install new poker tables, Wade Vickers of GPRS-Oklahoma was contacted to mark out the post tension cables and reinforcing steel within the drilling areas at a casino in Tulsa, OK. Wade was able to give the precise location and depth of the reinforcing steel, which gave the customer a clear area to drill. Since the results were marked directly onto the surface, the customer was able to avoid any post tension cables and reinforcing steel within the slab. Unlike x-ray/gamma ray, Ground Penetrating Radar is time efficient, non-hazardous and able to show real time results. The energy emitted is equivalent to 1% of a cell phone, therefore, the production of the construction site can continue without any radiation hazards.
