Concrete Imaging Technology Used To Locate Post Tension Cables - Oklahoma City, Oklahoma

When a local mechanical contractor needed to drill through a post tension slab, they contacted GPRS to locate the PT cables and reinforcing steel within the areas. Wade Vickers-GPRS Oklahoma mobilized to the site in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma to perform a non-hazardous, non-destructive method of concrete x-ray. Due to the portability of the Ground Penetrating Radar antenna, the scanning was performed quickly and accurately. Since the results were marked directly onto the surface, the customer was able to avoid the cables within the slab and prevent damage to slab or injuries to the workers on site. The GPR energy emitted is equivalent to 1% of a cell phone, therefore, the production of the construction site can continue without any radiation hazards.
