Conduit and Other Pipes Located Prior to Saw-cutting - Tulsa, Oklahoma

When a local saw-cutting company hit an unknown pipe beneath the concrete and had no knowledge of the electrical conduits’ location, they contacted Ground Penetrating Radar Systems, Inc. to provide assistance before further saw-cutting. Wade Vickers of GPRS-Oklahoma mobilized to the facility and located multiple conduits and pipes within/beneath the concrete slab. Since the results were marked with orange marking paint, the customer was able to avoid the pipes and electrical conduits while saw-cutting the slab. Ground Penetrating Radar is a non-hazardous, non-destructive method of concrete x-ray. Unlike Gamma Ray or X-ray, ground penetrating radar emits no radiation and the amount of energy emitted from the antennas is equivalent to 1% of a cell phone, therefore, the operator, employees and bystanders can continue production without potential hazards from the equipment.
