Electrical Conduit Locating at Air Force Base - Midwest City, Oklahoma

After a hitting an existing conduit when core-drilling previous holes, Ground Penetrating Radar Systems, Inc. was contacted to ensure safe drilling. Wade Vickers of GPRS-Oklahoma mobilized to the Air Force base in Midwest City, OK. After a thorough GPR investigation, multiple conduits within the concrete slab were located. Since the results were marked directly onto the surface with orange marking paint, the customer was able to avoid the electrical conduits while core-drilling through the slab. Ground Penetrating Radar is a non-hazardous, non-destructive method of concrete x-ray. Since the amount of energy emitted from the antennas is equivalent to 1% of a cell phone, the operator, employees and bystanders can continue production without potential hazards from the equipment.
