GPR Concrete Scanning Prior To Core-Drilling - Oklahoma City, Oklahoma

Ground Penetrating Radar Systems, Inc. was contacted by an electrical contractor to locate the rebar and conduits within the slab, prior to core-drilling for electrical conduits. Wade Vickers-GPRS Oklahoma mobilized to the site in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma to perform a non-hazardous, non-destructive method of concrete x-ray. After the concrete scanning was performed, the results were marked directly onto the surface to give the customer knowledge of what lies beneath the surface. Since the results were marked directly onto the surface, the customer was able to avoid any conduits and reinforcing steel within the slab during the drilling process. Unlike x-ray/gamma ray, Ground Penetrating Radar is time efficient, non-hazardous and able to show real time results. The energy emitted is equivalent to 1% of a cell phone, therefore, the production of the construction site can continue without any radiation hazards.
