Recently, Wade Vickers-GPRS Oklahoma mobilized to the site in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma to scan the Post-Tension beams prior to drilling an 8 inch hole for a new pipe. Due to the portability of the GPR equipment, the scanning was performed quickly and accurately. Since the results were marked directly onto the surface, the customer was able to avoid any PT cables within the beam during the core-drilling process. Unlike x-ray/gamma ray, Ground Penetrating Radar is time efficient, non-hazardous and shows real time results. The energy emitted is equivalent to 1% of a cell phone, therefore, the production of the construction site can continue without any radiation hazards.
