Ground Penetrating Radar Systems-Oklahoma was contacted by an energy company to mark out any underground gas pipelines or other obstructions within the new proposed station area. Using Radio Detection and Underground Imaging, Wade Vickers-GPRS Oklahoma mobilized to the site and gave a precise location of the high pressure gas lines and electric lines within an estimated 2 acres. Since GPR shows data in real time, the results were marked directly onto the surface using orange marking paint and pin flags to give the customer and workers knowledge of the utilities location beneath the surface. This ensures the customer can dig safely without costly setbacks and injuries. GPRS reduces risk and cost, promotes a safe work environment. GPR can see through materials such as concrete, and provides non-destructive testing by locating, plastic, metal, steel, rock, soil, ice, and pavement
