GPRS Uses Concrete Radar To Clear Safe Area For Drilling - Oklahoma City, Oklahoma

When an electrical contractor needed to install a new conduit through a post-tension slab, they contacted Ground Penetrating Radar Systems, Inc. to provide a safe area for drilling. Wade Vickers-GPRS Oklahoma mobilized to the site in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma and marked out the post tension cables within the drilling area. Due to the convenience of the concrete radar system, the scanning was performed quickly and accurately. Since the results were marked directly onto the surface, the customer was able to avoid the cables within the slab during the core-drilling process. Unlike x-ray/gamma ray, Ground Penetrating Radar is time efficient, non-hazardous and able to show real time results. The energy emitted is equivalent to 1% of a cell phone, therefore, the production of the construction site can continue without any radiation hazards.
