After multiple efforts digging into the landscape in order to find the precise location of the time capsule, they contacted Ground Penetrating Radar Systems, Inc. to provide assistance. Wade Vickers-GPRS Oklahoma mobilized to Sand Springs, Oklahoma to perform an investigation within the suspected area. After the subsurface imaging was performed, the edges of the time capsule were marked directly onto the surface to give the workers knowledge of where to dig. Using ground penetrating radar, the City of Sand Springs was able to reduce time and effort locating the capsule, as well as minimize damage to the landscape prior to the opening event.
