Non-Hazardous Concrete Scan Locate Reinforcing Steel - Norman, OK

After the 2011 Earthquake caused structural damage to the football stadium’s columns in Norman, Oklahoma, a general contractor needed to anchor external reinforcement without affecting the existing internal reinforcing steel. Wade Vickers-GPRS Oklahoma was contacted to perform non-hazardous concrete scanning to determine the precise location of the stirrups and other steel within the columns prior to drilling. Since Ground Penetrating Radar is portable, non-hazardous and able to show real time results, the work was performed efficiently in a lift. The results were marked directly onto the surface to give the customer and driller a safe location for drilling.
