When a general contractor needed the reinforcing steel and post tension cables located prior to anchoring support to a wall and slab, they contacted Ground Penetrating Radar Systems, Inc. to provide assistance. Wade Vickers-GPRS Oklahoma mobilized to a hospital in Tulsa, Oklahoma to perform a non-hazardous, non-destructive method of concrete x-ray. After the ground penetrating radar scanning was performed, the results were marked directly onto the surface to give the customer and driller a clear area for drilling. Ground Penetrating Radar can provide a precise location and approximate depth of post-tension cables and reinforcing steel without any hazardous radiation emitted.
