PT Tendons And Grade Beams Located Prior To Saw-Cutting - Oklahoma City, Oklahoma

During the renovation of an existing building for a new Laundry Mat, a plumbing contractor contacted GPRS to scan the PT slab prior to the installation of new plumbing lines. Wade Vickers-GPRS Oklahoma used the Ground Penetrating Radar antenna to mark the location and depth of the cables within the slab. Due to the convenience of the GPR antenna, the scanning was performed quickly and accurately. After the GPRS process was complete, the cables were shown using orange marking paint marked directly onto the surface and were able to be avoided during the saw-cutting process. Unlike x-ray/gamma ray, Ground Penetrating Radar is time efficient, non-hazardous and able to show real time results. The energy emitted is equivalent to 1% of a cell phone, therefore, the production of the construction site can continue without any radiation hazards.
