Rebar Located Using Non-Hazardous Concrete Scan - Tulsa, Oklahoma

When a local company needed to core-drill through the slab without hitting any of the reinforcing steel within the structure, they contacted Ground Penetrating Radar Systems, Inc. to provide assistance. Wade Vickers of GPRS-Oklahoma mobilized to the site in Tulsa, OK and was able to give the precise location and depth of the reinforcing steel, which gave the customer a clear area to drill. Since the results were marked directly onto the surface, the customer was able to avoid any reinforcing steel within the slab. Ground Penetrating Radar is time efficient, non-hazardous and able to show real time results. These results are then marked directly onto the surface, giving the driller knowledge of what lies beneath the surface. Unlike x-ray/gamma ray, the amount of energy emitted is equivalent to 1% of a cell phone, therefore, the production of the construction site can continue without any radiation hazards.
